For me, Mindful Eating is not WHAT you eat… but HOW you eat it….
where: hopefully in a place with minimal distractions
how: on a plate at a table, using all 5 senses to savor each bite
I took on this challenge today at lunch. I really concentrated on putting down my fork. I think I could have chewed a slower pace, but practice makes perfect, right? I was surprised by how fast I shove veggies & hummus into my mouth, without really savoring them.
